http://vijaya64.wix.com/question1

Question 2: (Evaluation) made on Prezi

This is Question 2 of the evaluation that i created on prezi as i have already used WIX for the first question. This question helped me establish what i need if i was to sell it as a package.

Question 3;(evaluation) made on Emaze

Powered by emaze

Q4 (Evaluation) ; made on Spiderscribe

This is Question 4 of the evaluation that i created on Spiderscribe as i have already used softwares like WIX, prezi and Emaze. I wanted to create something different that would express the technologies and skills i have learnt through making my media products.

Additional Theories, - Research

These are some more theories other than the basic that can relate to my short film 'On The Run':

  • Uses and Gratifications model = What audiences do with the media.
  • Richard Kilborn (1987) = Information, personal identity, Integration and social integration, and entertainment. This theory is challenged in my short film 'On The Run'.
  • James Lull (1990) = Structural Regulative, keeping time and part of pattern of daily life Competence/Dominance, role reinforcement, substitute role portrayal,
  • Reception Theory = The text is encoded by the producer, and decoded by the reader.
  • The hypodermic model = When the media product itself can inject ideas, values and attitudes into a passive audience who might the act upon them. And also that the media text has only one message that the audience must pick up.
Narrative Theory:

  • Propps = This theory is about the basic struggles in the narrative. They appear to have stock characters. And he Propp identifies this theory about characters and actions as narrative functions. Characters, according to propp, they provide a structure for the text.
Representation Theory:

  • Bell Hooks: Interconnectivity of race, class and gender = Systems of oppression and domination in the media paying particular attention to the devaluation of black womanhood. Their primary purpose is simply to be other than the norm.
These are additional theories for Q1 that i could add that relate to my film or are some i could associate with or consider

Plan for question 4

The technology i will be using is Spiderscribe:

Q4: HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES?

Points i will address:

  1. Evaluate skills you developed in camera ( moving and still image) and sound.
  2. Evaluate skills you developed in editing and print production.
  3. What technical skills did you develop as a group and individually?
  4. What technologies did you use or research and planning?
  • Research carried out on youtube and google images.
  • Other websites
  • downloading and adapting pre- production documents from moodle or other sources
  • Construction: camera, photography, lighting and sound
  • Editing: FInal cut pro and experimenting with layouts in photoshop.l
  • Illustrator and indesign
  • Presenting: Evaluate any free applications used such as prezi, slideshare, PowToon or timetoast.
      5. Web design skills developed using blogger and leytonmediahub
This is the plan i created for question 4 in order for me to see what i need to add, breaking it down before hand.

PLAN FOR QUESTION 3

For question 3 i will use EMAZE, because i have already used prezi, WIX, and Spiderscribe.

Q3:  what have you learnt from your audience feedback?

  1. Discuss feedback from the  pre- production focus groups carried out for video and print products. ( look at the videos, the positive and negative, the evaluation for each, )
  2. Evaluate rough cut and post-production focus groups and the feedback you received on your three finished media texts.( look through audience feedback)
  3. Did you get comments from sharing your work on social networks/ youtube? (  on blogger (comments)
  4. How did you use this feedback in the research, planning and construction of your texts? (how did it effect your production of work)
  5. Did you make any changes as a result of the feedback? ( in the process editing stage)
  6. Give positive and negative feedback and discuss this ( with negative, ensure you make useful suggestions on the changes you could make in any future productions.)
This plan for question 3 will help me separate out the information i need to include and make it even clearer.
